Description

Summary: The Partnerships and Communities Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the successful development and implementation of the PFLAG Connects and PFLAG Connects: Communities Programs initiatives. You will work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners to build meaningful connections, expand our reach, and achieve program objectives. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including program support, community outreach, and data management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with program planning, development, and implementation, ensuring alignment with the program's goals and objectives;
  • Schedule and organize meetings/events; essential
  • Provide support and assistance to program staff and volunteers as needed;
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of strong relationships with community partners, fostering communication, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Support outreach efforts through various channels, such as social media, email, and community events’;
  • Attend monthly PFLAG Connects: Communities support meetings and assist with technical support; essential
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program records, reports, and data using various software tools.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, or related field, or commensurate work experience;
  • Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience working in a non-profit or community-based organization;
  • Fluency in Spanish 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends at least 30% of the year; 
  • Comfort working in a remote setting; 
  • Proficient with using the internet, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom and online meeting systems; 
  • Experience with general office equipment, including network and desktop copiers, scanners, projectors, telephone systems, and video calls/meetings, among others;
