to make the asian community more aware of the problems relating to Diabeties 2 a common illness that is getting out of control.to make family and friends aware of the tell-tale signs of this disease and to bring it to the patient and their doctor's attention as soon as is possible.to act as friends and companions to all three groups ie diabetic, family and friends. to offer advice and counsiling. to improve their communication skills to that they do not feel scared or intimidated when speaking to doctors etc. to bring all asians together regardless of their religious or cultural backgrounds. the Executive committee consists of Diabetic doctors, optician,cardiologist, dietician, chriropodist etc always available to speak to etc. Finally to inform the host community of the richness of our culture/religion by holding fundraising functions open to the general public
