    The mission of the English Empowerment Center (EEC) is to teach adults the basic skills of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English so they can access employment and educational opportunities and more fully and equitably participate in the community. With the support of a large network of volunteer instructors, EEC serves nearly 2,000 adult learners who have come from 90 different countries and speak 50 different languages. EEC offers a variety of in-person and online English classes, making them accessible to the largest number of adults with the most urgent language needs.
