    Celebrating its 25th year as a community history museum, the Wrightsville Beach Museum of History seeks to tell the story of Wrightsville Beach through the years and across a range of experiences. The museum is housed in two turn of the century cottages, filled with exhibits about the beginnings of Wrightsville Beach with it's grand hotels as well as exhibits featuring the working people of the beach and the community that they built. Wrightsville Beavh is the birthplace of East Coast surfing, and the museum hosts the Waterman's Hall of Fame, which is regularly updated.
