Frank Bette Center for the Arts

  • About Us

Frank Bette lived and worked in this building from the 1960's until his death in 1999. His handwritten will named no beneficiary. He didn't want one individual to own the building or his particular favorite paintings, or his sculptures and carvings. He did want the building to become "a place where creative people could have meetings, readings, showings and other doings." It's pretty simple, isn't it? It's what we're doing!
