Silicon Valley FACES
Silicon Valley FACES is dedicated to creating and promoting an empathetic and inclusive community free of bias, bigotry and violence through our programs and advocacy. We accomplish our mission through age-appropriate experiential learning programs that teach empathy, inclusiveness, effective communication skills, conflict resolution, and the constructive leadership skills needed to disseminate these attributes among classmates, colleagues, and the community at large.
For more than 50 years, our staff, board, financial partners, area schools, and volunteers have worked to create systemic change by equipping youth – the future caretakers and leaders of our communities – to resist bias, bigotry, bullying, and violence. We accomplish our mission in Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Alameda counties by immersing school-aged children in age-appropriate social-emotional learning (SEL) camps that teach empathy, respect, self-worth, inclusiveness, honesty, and integrity, as well as the constructive leadership skills needed to disseminate these attributes among classmates and the community at large.
