Our mission is to address hunger and food insecurity in the Philadelphia area by providing small grants to purchase food.
Our funded pantries and partner organizations are located across the city of Philadelphia. These nonprofits establish trust through their consistency, authenticity, and integrity. Many of those seeking nourishment come to the meal programs through word of mouth—a testament to the effective local presence of these grantees.
Philadelphia is dynamic and changing. Philanthropy should be too. The Pincus Fund for Hunger Relief seeks to be both responsive and innovative in its approach to alleviating hunger. This past spring, the Fund piloted two new grants: one for urban farms and one for food pantries on college campuses.
