The African American Diabetes Association (AADA) is seeking passionate and detail-oriented volunteer Grant Writers to join our team. You will play a vital role in securing funding to support our mission of educating and empowering the African American community about diabetes prevention, management, and healthy living.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the AADA's mission and strategic goals.
- Write compelling grant proposals that clearly articulate the AADA's programs, needs, and impact.
- Work collaboratively with program staff to gather necessary data and information for proposals.
- Ensure all proposals adhere to funders' guidelines and deadlines.
- May assist with development of donor letters and other fundraising materials.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience in crafting persuasive grant proposals.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and identify relevant funding opportunities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in AI, Microsoft, and familiarity with grant management software a plus.
- Passion for the AADA's mission and a desire to make a difference in the lives of African Americans affected by diabetes.
