Volunteer Companions for Older Adults

Porchlight Friends provides companionship visits for older adults in their homes. We assist with non-medical projects in the home and provide transportation for errands and doctor appointments. The visits last 2 hours and our volunteer companions can choose how many visits per week they would like to complete. Visits typically take place during the day, 7 days per week. We operate our services through the Porchlight Health technology platform which is a simple, secure way for our older community members to stay connected to family, friends and community resources. Our companions complete an application, do a face-to-face interview, complete a background check and training before they meet with our clients.

Our services operate 7 days per week, and we have some opportunities for evening visits, as well.
