We, as RAM, are a community dedicated to empowering our society and supporting individuals for a better quality of life. We strive to make efforts for everyone to have a better quality of life and positively influence our community. From 2021 until now, we have been brainstorming ideas and social development through the Rural Exodus Programme. Continuing our work under the new name Rural African Matters, we operate under the motto "Advocating Change." Here, we aim to realize a vision of a society that upholds human dignity, bringing together Turkish and African volunteers. RAM is a community dedicated to enhancing the perspective of young people, women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized individuals in rural Africa and Turkish communities.

Our Mission: To advocate and empower young people, women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized individuals in rural Africa and Turkish communities through economic empowerment, community projects, and environmental conservation. We believe in promoting sustainable development by creating growth and prosperity opportunities in every corner of our communities.

Our Goals:

• Economic Empowerment: Providing individuals with the tools and resources needed for their economic development.
• Community Projects: Formulating and implementing projects that directly benefit the community, address urgent issues, and improve livelihoods.
• Collaboration and Assistance: Collaborating with stakeholders to undertake capital investment programs that guide sustainable development.
• Charitable Work: Committed to supporting the less fortunate through various charitable initiatives and ensuring that no one is left behind.
• Environmental Advocacy: Advocating for the protection of our natural resources and promoting sustainable practices.
• Social Advocacy: Actively participating in social advocacy efforts, amplifying the voices of marginalized groups, and advocating for their rights.
• Education and Skills Development: Believing in the power of education and skills development to uplift communities by providing training and resources for social, economic, and life skills activities.
• Income-Generating Projects: Aim to implement income-generating projects to promote self-sufficiency and resilience among volunteers and members.

Our Capabilities:

RAM currently has the authority to fundraise, acquire property, employ staff, organize events and activities, publish, and engage in all legal activities in Kenya. Efforts for Turkey are ongoing, and applications will be made soon.

Expected Responsibilities:

• Task Completion: Timely and effective completion of tasks assigned within the project scope.
• Participation and Communication: Regular communication with team members using appropriate communication channels and ensuring engagement throughout the project process.
• Openness to Growth: Evaluating opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills and being open to feedback on projects.
• Commitment to Organizational Values: Acting in accordance with RAM's mission, vision, and values, and maintaining the organization's reputation.
• Flexibility and Collaboration: Being adaptable to changing conditions and working collaboratively within the team spirit.
• Reporting and Evaluation: Regular reporting on project progress and participating in feedback processes at the end of projects.

Desired Qualifications:

• Collaboration Skills: Candidates who are team players, have strong communication skills, and enjoy working together are preferred.
• Responsibility: Individuals who can effectively and timely fulfill assigned tasks throughout the project process are sought.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Candidates who can quickly adapt to changing conditions, think flexibly, and focus on solutions are preferred.
• Empathy and Sensitivity: It is essential for individuals to be empathetic, understanding, and sensitive to various segments of society.
• Commitment to Volunteering: We are looking for candidates who genuinely believe in volunteering, are willing to contribute to society, and are eager to get involved in this process.
• Relevant Field Knowledge: Candidates with knowledge or experience in specific areas required for certain projects will be given priority.
