Hospice Companion Volunteers visit hospice patients on a regular basis as friendly visitors. Volunteers may read to, have conversations with, play a game of cards with, enjoy a favorite television show with, or just sit and be present with their patients. Volunteers do not provide any medical care to their patients.
No experience volunteering in hospice is necessary. All you need is some patience and the desire to be a friend to someone who needs one.
All volunteers will be background checked and will need to get a TB skin test. All costs are paid for by Envision.
