Description
Our mission is to fight poverty in Katete through better education, health and entrepreneurship; helping people to help themselves while maintaining their traditional values.
In order to achieve our mission, we have established a multitude of projects including a community school, HIV/AIDS counselling, and income generating activities.
We encourage Tiko volunteers to create their own project that will help us achieve our mission or join an ongoing project. Volunteers could teach a seminar on entrepreneurship, assist in lessons at the Academy, design and carry out research, or provide health awareness training among many things. Volunteers of all backgrounds use their experience and expertise to help locals out of poverty.
