VOLUNTEERS- TUTORS

Tutor position: Provide participants with individualize assistance to help the learn new concepts and complete assignments.

Duties:

• Leading one-on-one or small group lessons.
• Assist participants with homework, projects, test preparation, research and other academic tasks.
• Identify participants' individual learning needs.
• Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills and approaches to answering test questions.
• Providing participants with positive and constructive feedback.

Requirements: Subject matter expertise, dependable, strong overall verbal and written communication skills, patient, non-judgmental and able to maintain confidentiality.
