CONFRONTING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INC

We're reaching our 3rd year as a 501c3 and we need help for continued growth. It takes a community to serve a community!

In 2022 (our 1st year) we focused on establishing a solid infrastructure, learning more about the nonprofit sector, and identifying areas needed for growth. We also obtained our first small grant offered through the state.

In 2023 we had a community outreach in Illinois at a local college bringing awareness and resources, learned from fundraising mistakes, started to build an email list, began networking and obtained a mentor through Score.

In 2024 our program launched and we are now serving up to 50 victims a month. We made it on the news twice, once with a celebrity for our inaugural gala (which consumed most of our time) and again for a secret Santa we offered families that transitioned out of a shelter.

We also made it to the directory of Domestic Shelters, we are Platinum status in Candid, we are acknowledged by FrontStream, and started building a directory of our own (50+ organizations serving the DV community). We were recently granted SalesForce and have scored a college intern!
