CRAFTT promotes cultural education and the arts by connecting communities through creative expression, public humanities programs, educational initiatives, and cultural engagement that inspire learning, dialogue, and positive social impact.

CRAFTT (Cultural Research and Arts Foundation where Teaching meets Talent) is a nonprofit organization based in Alexandria, Virginia, dedicated to connecting communities through culture, creativity, education, and the arts.

Our work brings together artists, educators, scholars, cultural practitioners, community organizations, and the public through programs that explore the diverse histories, traditions, and creative expressions of communities throughout the African Diaspora and beyond.

CRAFTT develops public humanities programs, educational workshops, cultural events, performances, film and media programs, and community-based initiatives designed to make cultural learning engaging, accessible, and participatory.

Originally established in 2010, CRAFTT is entering a renewed period of organizational growth, expanding its programming, partnerships, volunteer network, and Board of Directors.
