San Lucas Mission

The San Lucas Mission is located in San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala, and functions as both a Catholic Parish and community development organization. The Parish's efforts include a coffee program, land distribution, healthcare services, education, and housing. In addition to the organization's community development efforts, the Parish also hosts visiting North American groups for short cultural immersion trips, and runs a long-term volunteer program for individuals who wish to live, work, and learn in the community for a lengthier period of time. The Mission's efforts are guided by the social justice principles of Catholic Social Teaching, and aim to meet the express felt needs of the community of San Lucas.
