    Job Description:

    We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and organized individual to provide personalized support to a 39-year-old woman with autism. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, managing medications and appointments, overseeing budgeting and household management, fostering social skills, and facilitating community engagement. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated and motivated individual looking for a meaningful, long-term position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with daily living skills (ADLs), including cleaning, grocery shopping, calendaring/ scheduling appointments, and more.
    • Administer and manage medications, including refilling prescriptions and ordering supplies.
    • Accompany individual to appointments, offer support during visits as needed, and communicate updates or follow-up instructions to the care team (*driver's license required!*)
    • Coordinate day programming, parental visits, and travel companionship with the help of hiring agency, Future Centered Care (FCC).
    • Assist with meal preparation and cooking in collaboration with the household team.
    • Support individual with budgeting, including accompanying her to the bank, and managing a new budgeting tool to ensure she does not overspend
    • Oversee household cleaning services, ensuring household upkeep and organization.
    • Oversee household upkeep by coordinating and scheduling cleaning services, landscapers, snow removal, and other maintenance providers; manage timely payment of household bills including utilities, cable, alarm company, landscaping services, and other recurring household expenses to ensure smooth operation of the home environment
    • Organize group activities and help coordinate transportation.
    • Coordinate with the current house parent and team to ensure seamless care and support.
    • Engage in weekly team meetings to review progress and discuss ongoing needs.
    • Participate in monthly full team meetings and weekly FCC meetings.
    • Work closely with the house manager and FCC to identify additional resources and providers as needed.

    Hours & Compensation*:

    • 15 hours per week at $40/hour with possibility and opportunities for increased hours.
    • A percentage of the cost of gas will be reimbursed to the employee.

    Schedule:

    • The schedule will be coordinated and mutually agreed upon with the individual herself, the hiring agency FCC, and the individual's parent.

    Benefits

    Part-time employees will accrue paid sick time at 1 hour of sick time is accrued every 30 hours worked and caps at 40 hours per year. Gas will receive partial reimbursement on the mile.
