    Description

    Small consulting firm with local, regional and national nonprofit clients offering a position for a very technologically proficient individual to support client programming and projects. Position is full-time – with lots of opportunities to learn and grow professionally and create new systems and improve operations.

    Absolutely must be highly motivated, self-starter seeking to create high-quality, impactful programs for client audiences. We appreciate someone who brings new ideas and ensures a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be very proficient with G suite, file sharing and data management. New ideas and best practices most welcome in creating and promoting programs and ensuring strong turnout.

    Position is forty hours per week and it is on-site in order to learn the position, receive mentoring and support in getting on board and highly trained. Excellent compensation. Ours is a welcoming workplace and we encourage diverse candidates to apply.

    Day-to-day areas of emphasis:

    Technical & Organizational

      • Familiarity with, and ability to become proficient in event management tools (e.g., Cvent, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana/Trello)
      • Strong calendar management and scheduling skills.
      • Ability to create and maintain event timelines, task lists, and checklists.

    Communication & Collaboration

      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with external (email and phone) communications (vendors, attendees, corporate partners).
      • Comfortable working collaboratively in small teams and taking direction.
      • Professional email etiquette and basic drafting skills for agendas and outreach.

    Customer Service & Support

      • Demonstrated client/customer service orientation—ability to handle inquiries, troubleshoot event-day issues, and support attendee needs.
      • Experience or comfort interacting with diverse audiences, including sponsors, academics, vendors, etc.

    Soft Skills

      • Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent follow-through
      • Calm under pressure, flexible, and solutions-focused
      • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
      • Eagerness to learn and grow into larger event responsibilities

    Schedule

    Full time/40 hours. Annual workload peaks and includes travel between June and September. Candidates should be prepared for a faster-paced environment and for the team to be highly collaborative to meet demands. Flexibility and a strong work ethic are especially important during this period.

    $55,000 annual salary.
