    Experience: Minimum 4 years

    Start Date: Immediate

Salary: Commensurate with experience + generous leave and benefits packageABOUT THE ROLE

The Property Manager at Bok plays a critical leadership role in shaping the daily experience of a building that supports over 200+ creative businesses and receives more than 250,000 visitors a year. The right candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, community-driven environment and brings a balance of strategic thinking, operational rigor, and people-first leadership.

You will be the organizational heartbeat of Bok—overseeing everything from property management and systems implementation to staff coordination, safety compliance, and tenant relations. Your job is to make sure Bok operates smoothly, feels welcoming, and remains a place where artists, makers, and entrepreneurs can thrive. This is not a behind-the-desk role—it’s for someone who is hands-on, highly responsive, able to be on their feet for long hours and passionate about creating environments where people do their best work.

    WHO YOU ARE

You’re an experienced operational leader with a knack for problem-solving and a deep respect for creative communities. You’re not just managing a building—you are stewarding a culture. You’re organized, proactive, and unflappable under pressure. You can manage a calendar of inspections and a building emergency with equal competence.

You build trust through consistency, strong communication, and follow-through. You’re highly detail-oriented, but not rigid. You see systems as tools to empower people—not just processes to be checked off. You are also mission-aligned, care about affordability and equity, and want your work to contribute to something bigger than a bottom line.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implement systems to ensure safety, accountability, and operational excellence across Bok’s 340,000 sq ft campus
    • Foster strong relationships with tenants, staff, neighbors, and partners through transparent communication and responsive service
    • Oversee move-ins/outs, routine inspections, maintenance scheduling, and vendor management
    • Lead safety and compliance across all building systems; support Facilities Director with preventive and predictive maintenance planning
    • Supervise the Ambassador team and support hiring, onboarding, and staff development
    • Use project management tools (e.g., Asana, Appfolio) to track and improve workflows
    • Support the implementation of tenant engagement programs, activations, and events in partnership with the marketing and leasing teams
    • Provide reliable, on-call leadership when needed (this role is 24/7 responsive in emergency situations)
    • Ensure all health, safety, and security protocols are rigorously maintained, and that the building is prepared for emergencies or unexpected situations.
    • Manage annual operating calendar (inspections/expirations). Maintain a schedule for routine inspections and administrative renewals to ensure smooth operations throughout the year.
    • Work with the facilities director to manage contracted workers and vendors, ensuring all vendors follow Bok policies and procedures when working onsite.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4+ years of experience in operations, property, or facilities management, preferably in complex or mixed-use environments
    • Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative and empathetic approach
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Comfort with technology, data, and building systems (Appfolio, Asana, Google Suite)
    • Fluency in building safety, inspections, compliance, and vendor relations
    • High emotional intelligence and ability to de-escalate conflict and navigate nuanced situation
    • Passion for supporting creative economies and community-driven spaces
    • Experience in construction management and/or project management
    • Spanish language proficiency is a plus
    • Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • Salary commensurate with experience
    • Vision, dental, and health insurance (including coverage for partners and dependents)
    • Life insurance
    • Paid maternity and paternity leave
    • SIMPLE IRA matching
    • 15 vacation days annually, plus 10 federal holidays
    • Civic PTO for voting and community service
    • Numerous staff events and social perks

A dynamic, mission-driven team that believes in meaningful work and good humor
