    Date: Saturday, June 28th, 2025

    Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Idaho City, ID (Exact address provided upon sign-up)

Join the American Red Cross Disaster Cycle Services team as we partner with Idaho Power, Boise State’s Hazard and Climate Resilience Institute (HCRI), and other community organizations for a hands-on wildfire mitigation project.

We’re seeking volunteers to help residents in Idaho City reduce wildfire risk by creating defensible space around homes, assessing property vulnerabilities, and providing personalized wildfire safety guidance.

    Volunteer Roles Include:

    • Clearing brush and light debris
    • Supporting home evaluation teams
    • Educating residents on fire-safe practices
    • Helping create a safer, more resilient community

This is a “contribute where you’re most comfortable” opportunity—whether you're skilled in landscaping, community outreach, or just ready to lend a hand, there's a role for you.

No prior experience required – Just bring your energy, closed-toe shoes, and a willingness to support.
