Job Description
The Undergraduate department strives to role model the professional practice environment, incorporating shared governance, evidence-based practice, clinical ladders, and the processes of healthcare quality for continuous improvement. Faculty have a primary, or home campus, used for in-person courses and determining mileage when traveling to clinical sites. Undergraduate faculty can be:
All faculty will provide direct instruction in assigned courses according to the course syllabus, learning objectives, and department goals. They are expected to provide both didactic and lab/clinical instruction. An effort is made to match faculty expertise with course topics. All faculty complete student evaluations according to department and course standards. All faculty participate as student advisors and members of department committees.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assistant and Associate Professors design, develop and evaluate courses with in the curriculum process of the department and University. If assigned, faculty at this level may provide supervision to Clinical Instructors and other support personnel (ex., Graduate teaching assistants, adjunct faculty, site preceptors, and student interns). Department-based service, leadership, research, and quality improvement opportunities are expected after the first semester. Salary will be as follows:$61,161 for Clinical Assistant Professor$71,161 for Clinical Associate Professor per year, commensurate with education and experience.
