The Marketing Manager Role and Key Responsibilities
A key leader on the Marketing + Business Development Team and thought partner to the Chief Marketing + Business Development Strategy Officer (CMBDO), the Marketing Manager is responsible for aligning the firm’s strategic objectives with marketing strategy and execution. Bringing marketing and communications expertise and practical experience, the marketing manager’s portfolio spans enterprise-level marketing strategy, program design, and team-level execution.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing + Business Development Strategy Officer, the Marketing Manager oversees the marketing function on a day-to-day basis, with appropriate guidance. The Marketing Manager contributes to and executes on strategy across digital marketing, thought leadership, practice management, client satisfaction, and oversight of marketing analytics. The Marketing Manager is expected to perform with excellence in the following areas:
Strategy and Planning
Digital marketing
Website
Social media
Newsletter
Holiday card
Thought leadership
Manage and develop thought leadership calendar, including podcast and written content.
Podcast | Searchcast
Written content
Practice management
Client satisfaction
Related project management and additional tasks
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent writing skills, an aesthetic and design sensibility, experience with making data-driven marketing decisions and recommendations, and the ability to effectively articulate IM’s value proposition and practice/industry differentiation. Attention to detail and precision in both thinking and written work product are important. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. As an employee-owned firm, IM offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a non-contributory health and dental offering as well as participation in a profit-sharing pension plan and an employee stock ownership plan. The minimum starting salary for this position is $100,000 annually. We value relevant experience for this role that could accelerate contribution and impact to IM. Compensation will be determined based on the relevant experience the candidate brings to the role.
