    Description

    Are you interested in starting your AmeriCorps service on or after August 16, 2025? Consider serving with Notre Dame Mission Volunteers AmeriCorps at Hope Community Center! Gain valuable experience while serving your community!

    This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. To serve in AmeriCorps you must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States. Please do not inquire if you do not meet these requirements.

    Notre Dame Mission Volunteers develops leaders through education and compassionate service that sparks confidence to learn and agency to transform disenfranchised communities. Hope CommUnity Center (HCC) is a service learning community dedicated to the empowerment of Central Florida's immigrant and working poor communities through education, advocacy, and spiritual growth. NDMVA members at HCC will further HCC’s ability to deliver services to the Central Florida community.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Provide information to students, adults and parents regarding the college admissions process including applications, standardized testing, financial aid and high school preparation
    • Teach adult literacy classes to improve immigrant integration
    • Support program participants through enrolment in programs at the Hope CommUnity Center
    • Assist with teaching classes

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident at least 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
