    This summer, make a real impact while gaining practical experience by joining Save the Marginalized (STM) — a grassroots nonprofit working to empower vulnerable children, women, and persons with disabilities in Uganda.L

    About Save the Marginalized (STM):

    STM is a community-based organization based in Kamuli District that champions the rights and well-being of marginalized populations. Our programs address child protection, education, women’s economic empowerment, disability inclusion, and community resilience. We believe in dignity, inclusion, and opportunity for all.

    Internship Overview:

    We are inviting enthusiastic, socially conscious students and graduates to apply for our 2025 Summer Internship Program. Interns will work alongside local staff and communities to support projects that align with their skills and passions.

    Key Areas of Engagement:

    Child & Youth Empowerment: Support educational activities, reading clubs, and child mentorship sessions.

    Women’s Empowerment: Assist in vocational training workshops, micro-enterprise programs, and support groups for women.

    University students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals in social work, development studies, education, communications, or health.

    Volunteers seeking a meaningful summer experience with a purpose.

    Applicants who are adaptable, collaborative, and committed to ethical service.

    No prior experience in Uganda is necessary, but openness, humility, and a willingness to learn from local communities are essential.
