    The Eagle Academy Foundation (EAF) challenges systemic barriers, thereby empowering young men of color to achieve their desired educational, career, and life outcomes. Through the Eagles Soaring Beyond (ESB) Initiative, our unique approach is to curate an ecosystem of resources that creates multiple pathways to postsecondary success beyond high school. We define Postsecondary Success as the achievement of goals and plans influenced by the experiences, information, and opportunities provided during high school to aid our young men in making well informed future decisions.

    Position Overview:

    EAF is seeking a Postsecondary Success Manager (PSM) for our Eagle Academy for Young Men campuses in Ocean Hill and Staten Island. As the key driver of our vision, the PSM plays an instrumental role in providing collaborative and comprehensive services that ensure our young men are well-prepared for their postsecondary journeys. They work directly with students and their families to facilitate postsecondary planning and placements. The PSM is responsible for aligning interests and skills to curated opportunities and resources, stewarding key strategic partnerships, promoting programs that provide placements, and working closely with school staff and administration to enhance student access and experiences. The PSM will report to EAF’s Postsecondary Team Coach.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Placement Support & Management:

    Placement occurs from a comprehensive suite of services and activities, 9th—12th grade, designed to guide and assist students on their postsecondary journey through the preparation, activation, and successful enrollment in various extracurricular programmatic opportunities.

    • Maintain relationships with strategic partners (school-based and community based partner organizations, higher ed institutions, vocational schools, employers) and other stakeholders
    • Recruit for various programs and services that enhance options, preparedness, and candidacy for postsecondary opportunities
    • Manage college/career and financial aid application processes
    • Utilize SCOIR and Salesforce for postsecondary planning, application management, and record keeping
    • Support students with completing scholarship applications
    • Create access to Career Exploration and Workforce Development Activities
    • Engage 6-8th graders and their guidance counselors in activities that promote career awareness and exposure to ready them for high school opportunities
    • Contextualize Higher Education Exploration and Exposure in relationship to career interests and skills
    • Match young men to Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Out-of-School Time (OST) Enrichments (including summer opportunities)
    • Engage in advising and counseling in small groups & 1-on-1
    • Facilitate seminars and workshops and off er technical assistance to young men and families
    • Provide monthly updates and quarterly reports on performance, student outcomes, and placements to ensure alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

    Collaborative Leadership:

    • Serve as a liaison between EAF and EA to foster continual and seamless communication
    • Plan and execute student recruitment drives for various programs and opportunities
    • Recruit and supervise Peer Leaders for program/campaign promotion and implementation
    • Maintain a rapport and coordinate with school staff , administration, guidance counselors, grade teams, and family coordinators to support college and career readiness activities

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field
    • Experience in youth development, career planning, or educational program implementation
    • Proven experience in college and career counseling within a high school or higher education setting
    • Demonstrated success in guiding students through the college/career application and financial aid processes
    • Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, families, educators, and community partners
    • Experience in project and program management
    • Ability to use data and assessments to inform practices and services
    • Bilingual skills preferred, enhancing communication with non-English speaking students and families (not exclusive)

    Salary: $70K - $80K, commensurate with experience and qualifications
