    Description

    The President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the strategic and operational leader of OPRFCF, responsible for advancing its mission, enhancing its impact, and fostering a vibrant culture of philanthropy. In partnership with the Board of Directors, staff, donors, and community stakeholders, the CEO will guide the organization's strategic vision, cultivate lasting relationships, and ensure the Foundation remains a trusted, inclusive, and innovative resource for the community.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Lead the development and implementation of the Foundation’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Board, staff, and community partners.
    • Articulate and champion a compelling vision for the Foundation’s role in community development and philanthropy.
    • Foster innovation in programming and initiatives to address evolving community needs.

    Fund and Donor Development

    • Build and sustain meaningful relationships with donors, fundholders, and philanthropic partners to grow and diversify the Foundation’s assets.
    • Promote a culture of philanthropy within the organization and across the broader community.
    • Lead donor cultivation, engagement, and stewardship strategies.
    • Partner with the Board and staff to implement a forward-thinking development plan.

    Grants and Program Management

    • Oversee all aspects of grantmaking and philanthropic leadership programming.
    • Design and implement new initiatives that align with the Foundation’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

    Fiscal and Operational Management

    • Ensure responsible financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management practices.
    • Collaborate with the Investment Committee to support asset growth and financial sustainability.
    • Maintain compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

    Board Relations

    • Partner closely with the Board of Directors to advance governance excellence and organizational effectiveness.
    • Support Board development, including the recruitment of diverse and engaged members.
    • Serve as an ex-officio member of all Board committees and provide timely, relevant information and materials.

    Human Capital Management

    • Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing, mission-driven team.
    • Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, professional development, and compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
    • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive organizational culture.

    Community Engagement

    • Serve as the Foundation’s public ambassador, representing its mission and impact in community forums, coalitions, and partnerships.
    • Cultivate strategic relationships to enhance the Foundation’s visibility and broaden its reach and relevance.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Proven experience in nonprofit or philanthropic leadership, ideally in a CEO, Executive Director, or senior leadership role.
    • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, resource development, and community engagement.
    • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget oversight and investment strategy.
    • Deep understanding of effective governance practices and working with a nonprofit Board.
    • Track record of leading high-performing teams with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a related field preferred.
