    About Us: Clarifi is dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve financial resilience and positively impact their communities. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Development and Communications (DODC) to lead our comprehensive fundraising and communications efforts. This role is crucial in driving philanthropic revenue and enhancing our brand value.

    Position Summary: The DODC will lead the planning and implementation of a multi-year, comprehensive fundraising program to increase philanthropic revenue from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Additionally, the DODC will support advancement goals through communications and marketing programs that build brand value and increase engagement. Reporting directly to the Executive Director (ED) and as a member of the Leadership Team, this position is responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of Clarifi’s private fundraising and communications programs. The DODC will serve as the chief liaison to the Board’s External Engagement and Development Committee and supervise a high-performing team of development and communications staff.

    Main Responsibilities & Duties:

    Primary Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and execute strategies to grow fundraising from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
    2. Increase brand equity through aligned communications strategies across all platforms.
    3. Foster an organizational culture of philanthropy that leverages the contributions of both fundraising and non-fundraising team members.

    Development:

    • Lead the development, execution, and ongoing evaluation of fundraising strategies for continued growth of individual, corporate, and foundational revenue.
    • Build a robust individual giving program that leverages Clarifi’s strong corporate relationships to increase stakeholder volume and steadily increase general operating annual revenue.
    • Lead the development of local engagement events to increase the connection between individuals and Clarifi’s mission, supporting the expansion of the donor network and annual revenue.
    • Ensure that development activities leverage a data-driven approach, ensuring accurate tracking of activities and developing the data infrastructure of the SalesForce CRM to improve future efforts.
    • Nurture a culture of evaluation by measuring and reporting on agency impact, tracking revenue and fundraising trends, and predicting future opportunities for growth.

    Communications & Brand Management:

    • Oversee the development and execution of campaigns to increase Clarifi’s profile and public understanding of financial empowerment, economic mobility, and wealth preservation, as well as the impact of Clarifi’s services.
    • Leverage the strategic vision for organizational impact to identify strategies that build Clarifi’s brand equity and awareness in key stakeholder communities, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
    • Ensure fulfillment of communication strategies across all communication platforms and materials, including newsletters, annual reports, online (social, web) presence, and printed collateral.

    Leadership and Supervision:

    • Collaborate with the Leadership Team and direct reports to identify organizational strategies and solutions to ongoing challenges and opportunities.
    • Mentor and supervise direct reports, assessing areas of success and developing paths to improvement to ensure department execution and professional development.
    • Collaborate across teams and projects to ensure compliance and reporting requirements are in place from public and private funders.
    • Oversee board development activities that enhance members’ ability to serve as ambassadors, increasing personal contributions and members’ network solicitations.

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of fundraising experience required
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, Master's degree preferred
    • 3+ years of supervision experience required
    • Availability to work nights and weekends as necessary to attend meetings and events
    • Proven track record in fundraising and communications.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software, particularly SalesForce.

    **Must be willing to work from the Center City, Philadelphia location 2-3 days per week
