    Position Overview

    La Vida Scholars seeks a Recruitment & Enrollment Coordinator to join our Operations team and support 200+ high school students and their families. We are seeking a motivated and organized person to lead our recruitment efforts of students, specifically targeting public high schools in Lynn and Chelsea. The role involves attending college fairs, lunch events, and various school presentations to engage with students and promote the program.

    The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to meet deadlines, and have a strong passion for helping others. Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written, is required to effectively communicate with students and their families. Additionally, this position requires remote availability for 1-2 Saturdays a month.

    • Ability to produce quality work deliverables that are on-time, complete, and free of errors

    Educational Background & Work Experience

    • Spanish fluency is required
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 1-3 years of experience in student engagement
    • Experience in a non-profit environment is a plus

    Primary Responsibilities

    Program Recruitment

    • Oversee year-round recruitment to fill 60-90 openings a year by coordinating student interest, collecting applications, and guiding the interview process
    • Support future La Vida Scholars throughout the entire recruitment and enrollment process by providing a positive experience until student begins programming
    • Update existing structures and systems, to find and enroll students, identifying and diversifying recruitment events and strategies (such information sessions and open houses)
    • Collaborate with local community members and school administrators to market our services, recruit Scholars, and schedule partnership opportunities
    • Manage applications forms ensuring they are optimized for user experience and data collection
    • Build a year long recruitment timeline and benchmarks, leading to enrollment goals and the creation of a waitlist
    • Track progress towards recruitment and enrollment goals, regularly updating Operations Manager & Director of Programs

    Enrollment & Paperwork

    • Manage the enrollment process through acceptances of students and families
    • Update existing structures and systems, to ensure consent, medical, and enrollment forms are completed by families and collected as well as tracked efficiently and accurately
    • Enroll families into college match savings accounts, a partnership with Metro Credit Union
    • Support students with enrollment into Summer Academy

    Community Engagement & Partnerships

    • Build partnerships with local schools and staff, to build a recruitment pipeline
    • Build relationships with local organizations and community members to offer services
    • Create and lead informational/recruitment events as well as
    • Attend local events, meetings, and fairs to recruit within but also connect with community
    • Manage referral system for students and families

    Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience ($50,000- $55,000) and includes fully-funded medical and dental insurance.
