    Position Summary

    The Marketing and Communications Specialist works to create and maintain a consistent brand

    identity in support of The Post Oak School’s mission. Reporting to the Enrollment Management and

    Marketing Director, the individual produces compelling digital and print content that effectively

    conveys our story and strengthens connections with our constituents.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist the Enrollment Management and Marketing Director in the initiation, implementation, and oversight of the strategic marketing and communications plan for The Post Oak School
    • Think, plan, and strategize creatively; work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting;
    • cultivate relationships and communicate effectively with all constituents
    • Develop, manage, and execute a dynamic social media strategy to enhance brand awareness and community engagement
    • Collaborate with the admissions team to create compelling marketing materials and ad campaigns; engage with our outsource partner to optimize the prospective family experience and track engagement
    • Regularly take, organize, and archive photos and/or videos of school events that highlight
    • student life, faculty engagement, school events, and campus culture
    • Plan, create, and publish or produce digital and print content for internal and external audiences, including weekly e-news and occasional urgent communications
    • Complete other duties as assigned by the Enrollment Management and Marketing Director

    Experience & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, English, graphic design)
    • Minimum of three–five years of experience in marketing and communications

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Comfortable working around and with children and interacting with parents
    • Ability to identify, capture, and convey stories that align with Post Oak’s mission
    • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
    • Strong social media skills in a professional setting
    • Strong photography skills, videography experience helpful
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and a good eye for design
    • Solid understanding of HTML and content management systems
    • Understanding of diversity, equity, inclusivity, and justice (DEIJ) work and its significance in

    communications and marketing

    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Proactive, creative, and growth-oriented professional
