    Job Overview

    We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Content Creator to join our mission. You will dedicate one hour per day to producing and posting engaging 15-second to 1-minute video clips on TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter (X). Your content will educate families, caregivers, and communities about child vehicle safety in a compelling and accessible way.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and edit short video clips (15 seconds to 1 minute) tailored to each platform’s audience, focusing on child vehicle safety topics (e.g., heatstroke prevention, safe car seat use, or backover awareness).
    • Post one video daily on each platform: TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter (X).
    • Use relevant hashtags, captions, and calls-to-action to maximize reach and engagement.
    • Align content with Kids and Car Safety’s mission, tone, and branding guidelines.
    • Monitor basic engagement metrics (e.g., views, likes, shares) and provide a brief weekly summary of performance.
    • Ensure all content complies with platform guidelines and is sensitive to the organization’s advocacy goals.
    • Comfortable speaking into camera and creating videos every day.

    Qualifications

    • Experience creating short-form video content for social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
    • Proficiency with basic video editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, or platform-native editors).
    • Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices for engagement.
    • Passion for child safety and alignment with Kids and Car Safety’s mission.
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a 1-hour daily commitment.
    • Access to a smartphone or device capable of producing high-quality video content.

    Preferred Skills

    • Familiarity with child safety or nonprofit advocacy campaigns.
    • Experience analyzing social media metrics to optimize content.
    • Creative storytelling skills to make safety messages impactful and relatable.

    Compensation

    • $20 an hour
