    Key Responsibilities

    Community Engagement & Canvassing:

    • Conduct door-to-door canvassing and phone banking to engage voters on key issues.
    • Meet weekly and quarterly outreach goals for voter contact and civic engagement.
    • Represent Poder Latinx with professionalism, ensuring community members receive accurate and reliable information.
    • Cultivate relationships with community members, identifying new leaders and volunteers for engagement opportunities.

    Base-Building & Organizing:

    • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, canvassing, and voter registration efforts.
    • Build a strong local volunteer base to sustain ongoing civic engagement work.
    • Organize and execute issue-based events to elevate climate, immigration, and economic justice advocacy.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with county officials, community organizations, and advocacy groups to strengthen coalition efforts.

    Administrative & Strategic Support:

    • Track and report voter outreach and volunteer engagement data in EveryAction CRM.
    • Ensure timely and accurate data entry to measure impact and inform organizing strategies.
    • Support Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts leading up to key elections, including event planning and field operations.
    • Collaborate with state and national teams to implement organizing strategies that align with Poder Latinx’s mission.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    Required Qualifications:

    • Mission-aligned with Poder Latinx and passionate about civic engagement, climate action, immigrant rights, and economic justice.
    • Strong community organizing skills, with experience in grassroots mobilization, volunteer management, and event coordination.
    • Excellent communication skills, comfortable speaking with diverse communities and discussing social justice issues.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
    • Ability to meet metric-driven goals and work effectively under pressure.
    • Comfortable working evenings and weekends, particularly in election cycles.
    • Access to reliable transportation for community outreach efforts.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in voter engagement and outreach, including canvassing and phone banking.
    • Familiarity with organizing tools such as MiniVAN, EveryAction, or other CRM platforms.
    • Background in power mapping, identifying key stakeholders, and building strategic relationships.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Experience leading trainings, workshops, or leadership development programs.

    Position Overview

    Poder Latinx is seeking a full-time Community Organizer based in Arizona to engage Latinx voters and community members on climate, immigration, and economic justice. This role will focus on grassroots organizing, volunteer recruitment, and direct community engagement to strengthen civic participation and advocacy efforts in the state.

    The Community Organizer will serve as the primary connection between Poder Latinx and local communities, engaging voters through culturally relevant outreach strategies. This role is ideal for someone passionate about grassroots movements, leadership development, and mobilizing Latinx communities to drive systemic change.
