    Description

    Seeking a full-time Environmental Analyst or Engineer to act as a specialist for our wastewater training program and a clearinghouse for information to state partners, operators, and the public.

    In this role, you will:

    • Support NEIWPCC’s training program, primarily through development and implementation of new online self-paced training.
    • Establish training goals and standards for learning content, identify training gaps, and collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create course materials.
    • Provide general support and assistance with wastewater programs by preparing quarterly progress reports, maintaining webpages, preparing articles or providing background materials for NEIWPCC publications.
    • Coordinate with other divisions on crosscutting topics, support the formulation of responses to inquiries from state and federal agencies, consultants, and the public about wastewater, water quality issues, technical publications, and NEIWPCC programs.

    The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in civil or environmental engineering, environmental studies, natural science, public health, or related field, with five years of related experience. A Massachusetts Grade 2M wastewater license, or ability to obtain such license within 18 months of hire, is required. Excellent computer skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational ability are needed. Knowledge of wastewater collection and treatment, and experience with Learning Management Systems (Coassemble, or similar program) preferred.

    Logistics

    This is a full-time, in-office position based in NEIWPCC’s Headquarters office, located at 650 Suffolk Street, Lowell, MA 01854. Duties will be performed largely in an office setting, but with a need for travel, for which a valid driver’s license and private means of transportation are required. After six months of employment, this position may be eligible for a partial telework schedule, subject to approval and determined by program and office needs.

    What We Offer

    The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. NEIWPCC offers an outstanding comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees:
