    Description

    The Accounting Assistant (Part-Time) is responsible for supporting the Finance Department by processing accounts payable transactions, assisting with payroll functions, and providing general accounting support. Key duties include preparing payment requests, inputting data into accounting software, maintaining vendor and cost center registers, and researching A/P discrepancies. The role also involves generating payroll timekeeping reports, assisting Human Resources with employee transactions, and entering payroll-related journal entries. Additionally, the Accounting Assistant will support department managers with financial transactions and billing, and perform other duties as assigned by management. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. This is a part-time position, requiring 20–21 hours per week. A high school diploma is required, with an associate’s degree considered a plus, along with one to two years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
