SUMMARY:
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial support tasks to ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions. Working closely with the finance and accounting team, this role will provide critical administrative support to ensure that financial operations run smoothly including recording of payments, expenses, reconciliations, and journal entries. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have an associate’s degree in accounting or finance and working knowledge of GAAP for non-profits as well as a minimum of two years of experience in finance and/or accounting. Experience working with 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 non-profit organizations is preferred.
Must have familiarity with CRM database software, Salesforce, Intacct, Tallie and Bill.com and proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Must have a proven track record of confidentiality and record-keeping. Must possess great organizational, and analytical skills, and have great time management skills. Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while processing large volumes of data.
Must display a passion for excellence that helps to elevate the NACD brand and excellent customer service skills to serve our members, vendors, and other departments. Must exhibit excellent spoken and written communication skills, collaborative work ethic combined with a strong sense of independent ownership of tasks, and a genuine desire to learn. An ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, deliver, and welcome feedback is essential.

The salary/hourly range for this position is $55,500 - $60,500 plus bonus potential. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
