Help shape the story of community impact in Central Texas.

Austin Community Foundation (ACF) is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to plan, write, and deliver storytelling content that inspires generosity and drives engagement. In this full-time role, you'll bring the Foundation's mission to life across multiple platforms—supporting donor communications, campaigns, events, and marketing collateral.

If you’re an exceptional writer, comfortable working in Adobe Creative Cloud, and experienced in nonprofit or values-driven communications, this is a chance to help create a more vibrant Central Texas.

    About Austin Community Foundation

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to thrive. Since 1977, ACF has mobilized over $635 million in grants and currently stewards $578 million in charitable assets. We partner with donors and organizations to address Central Texas’ most pressing needs, focusing on affordable housing and economic mobility.

    Key Responsibilities

    Content Creation & Storytelling

    • Research, write, and edit stories featuring fundholders, donors, and grant partners
    • Develop short- and long-form content for blog posts, emails, newsletters, website, and social media
    • Support copywriting and proofreading needs across departments to ensure brand voice and clarity
    • Maintain and update print and digital collateral, including brochures, one-pagers, and handbooks

    Event Communication Support

    • Draft and manage promotional communications (invitations, follow-ups, RSVP forms) for Foundation events
    • Coordinate event logistics related to communications (live social media coverage, signage, collateral)
    • Capture content at events to repurpose for storytelling

    Digital Communications Support

    • Update and manage content in WordPress CMS
    • Create and schedule posts using social media management tools (Sprout Social or similar)
    • Build and send email campaigns in Constant Contact

    What You Bring

    Required Experience:

    • 3+ years full-time professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field required
    • Hands-on experience writing mission-driven content across platforms (web, social, print, and email) required
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) to produce simple visual content for print and digital use required
    • Experience using WordPress (or other content management systems) for website updates
    • Experience using email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact) to create and send campaigns
    • Experience using social media scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social)
    • Experience supporting event communications (before, during, and after events)

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Valued):

    • Spanish language proficiency
    • Familiarity with the Central Texas philanthropic landscape
    • Experience working in or with nonprofit organizations
