What You'll Do
As our Recruitment and Community Engagement Coordinator, you will serve as the bridge between prospective families and the school while also cultivating relationships with external organizations that can support WSG's mission through donations and resources. Reporting to the Communications Director, you will:
Recruitment and Admissions
- Implement comprehensive student recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals and identify students and families who would best benefit from the WSG educational program
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries about admission and enrollment
- Plan and execute recruitment events, including shadow days, open houses, and community presentations
- Guide prospective families through the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry through enrollment
- Maintain detailed records of the enrollment funnel, including inquiries, applications, and enrollment data
- Provide transition support to new families, especially during their first year at WSG
- Collaborate with staff to support student retention and ensure admitted students graduate from WSG
Corporate and Community Partnerships
- Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate partners interested in providing resources to WSG
- Coordinate donation initiatives for items such as Christmas gifts, toys, books, Amazon gift lists, and other needed resources
- Develop and maintain a systematic approach to corporate engagement and partnership management
- Track and report on partnership outcomes and resource acquisition
- Strengthen established relationships with community organizations to support both recruitment and resource development
- Manage the intake form of volunteers and volunteer opportunities
School Communications
- Photograph school life and maintain organized digital photo archives
- Coordinate the end-of-year school yearbook
- Assist with school communications that highlight student achievements and school activities
- Support the Director of Communications with content creation for various communication channels
- Ensure consistent branding in all partnership and recruitment materials
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment, community engagement, or related fields
- Bilingual: English/Spanish is a plus
- Strong relationship-building skills with diverse populations
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with data management and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Photography skills and experience organizing digital media assets
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the community
- Demonstrated commitment to educational equity
- Experience working with urban youth and families preferred
Education and Professional Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree required

- Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics in all interactions

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- 50% of this position is travel-based. Ability to travel to various locations throughout the community
- Some lifting and carrying of materials for events (up to 25 pounds)
