    About ELSF

    The English Learners Success Forum (ELSF) is a collaboration of researchers, teachers, district leaders, and funders who are passionate about improving the quality and accessibility of instructional materials for English learners (ELs). Our mission is to expand educational equity for multilingual learners by increasing the supply of high-quality instructional materials that center their cultural and linguistic assets.

    Position Summary

    The Project Manager will be responsible for managing people, processes, and timelines to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and of high quality. This role will identify the project's goals, objectives, and scope and create a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required. It will be crucial for the Project Manager to communicate with the project team and stakeholders, manage risks and issues, and monitor progress to ensure that the project stays on track.

    Responsibilities and Tasks

    The Project Manager will execute on the following areas of work. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list but outlines the major responsibilities of the role.

    Project Management and Execution

    Take projects through the key project phases: project initiation, planning, monitoring, execution, and close.

    • Execute logistics needed for project success: project charters, project goals, schedule management, roles and responsibilities, etc.
    • Draft scopes of work for consultants supporting the project to ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery of services, communicating key dates with clients and other stakeholders.
    • Uses ELSF’s project management software (Click Up) to develop, manage, and maintain project schedule, keeping stakeholders apprised of project status, anticipating risks and project needs, escalating issues, and recommending solutions to achieve the intended outcome.
    • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, work with Project Leads to adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving processes already in place (reviews, meeting agendas, meeting materials, training content, etc.).

    Client/Stakeholder Management

    Ensure client satisfaction and management in order to retain current clients and attract new clients.

    • Builds strong relationships with ELSF clients and external stakeholders, maintaining open and regular lines of communication.
    • Actively ensure clients are satisfied with ELSF services.
    • Identify challenges and constraints that are occurring with clients and work with the Director to come up with potential solutions and approaches.

    Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management.
    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
    • Proven ability to think analytically, strategically, and with agility to translate ideas and insights into action.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
    • Extensive experience managing and coordinating teams for multiple independent projects, with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
    • Experience working in an education-focused organization or non-profit, a plus.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
    • Strong client-facing communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Smartsheet, etc.
    • Open to learning with a strong sense of curiosity and a growth mindset.
    • Commitment to ELSF’s mission, vision, core values, theory of change, and unique positioning in the field.

    Compensation

    A salary within the range of $67,162 - $100,74 annually will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the ELSF compensation philosophy. Salary is based on experience, and to ensure equity within the organization, ELSF does not negotiate salary. Candidates can typically expect a salary offer around the midpoint of the salary range. In addition, ELSF offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays; and vacation and sick leave.
