    the needs that arose immediately following their communities’ displacement by ISIS.One of the organization's core goals is to create and preserve a safe and sustainable environment for local families and communities regardlessof their religion, gender, disability, age, and ethnic background.

    Job description

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Identify relevant funding opportunities from institutional donors.
    2. Draft and edit concept notes, full proposals, budgets, and related documents in close coordination with the President and program teams.
    3. Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines, donor outreach, and reporting schedules.
    4. Ensure that all proposals are compliant with donor guidelines and submitted on time.
    5. Conduct background research to support project design and proposal development.
    6. Coordinate virtually with internal team members to collect required technical and financial inputs.
    7. Contribute to the design of a fundraising strategy for donor diversification and long-term sustainability.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
    2. At least 3 years of proven experience in grant writing and fundraising in the non-profit sector.
    3. Successful track record of writing and winning grants from donors such as GIZ, BMZ, UN agencies, EU, USAID, or similar institutions.
    4. Excellent command of written English (clear, persuasive, and professional writing).
    5. Strong organizational and time management skills, especially when working independently.
    6. Reliable internet connection and ability to communicate regularly via email and video calls.

    Preferred Skills:

    1. Familiarity with the context of Iraq, particularly Sinjar and Nineveh Governorate.
    2. Knowledge of donor portals and funding application platforms.
    3. Understanding of logframes, results-based management, and budgeting principles.
    4. Working Conditions:

    This is a remote, part-time position based on deliverables and deadlines.

    Working hours are flexible, but availability for occasional coordination meetings (GMT+3) is expected. Duration and extension are subject to funding availability and performance.
