    Position Summary

    Launcher is seeking a Program Director who will create and maintain relationships with funders, partners, trainers, advisors and clients, evaluate long term planning and strategic decisions, budgets, efficiency and partnerships, funding and grants, work closely with the Program Managers to implement valuable programming for entrepreneurs and oversee communications. The Program Director will assist with reporting and analyze/create summary of data provided by Program Managers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Planning and Growth

    • Communicate with and develop relationships with key members of priority neighborhoods.
    • Oversee the operation of the Launcher Entrepreneurship Program and implement the program goals.
    • Assist the team in implementing marketing and outreach to attract clients and volunteers.
    • Oversee communication with Launcher students by telephone, e-mail or mail to coordinate for classes, workshops and to update the database.
    • Understand what opportunities and resources are of value to our community and oversee announcements to targeted groups of alumni using our online community platform and email marketing system.

    Budget and Reporting

    • Oversee accurate records, a timely filing system and provide data reporting to partners and funders as needed.
    • Review and verify monthly reporting for partners and funders.
    • Analyze and interpret data to determine program outcomes, effectiveness and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure the CRM system is up to date and that all required reports and data have been submitted on time.
    • Keep regular records of department spending as related to the budget
    • Develop annual budget and financial needs in consultation with Director of Development and Executive Director.

    Launcher Training and Course Offerings

    • Oversee the operation of the Launcher Entrepreneurship Program and implement the program goals.
    • Work with the program manager and trainers to ensure program quality.
    • Work closely and effectively with other departments and partner organizations to achieve program success.
    • Develop initiatives to create program efficiency and effectiveness in cooperation with the Program Manager.
    • Manage and support team in developing regular training, workshops and events to help entrepreneurs develop and grow their business.

    Manage Contracted Business Advisors

    • Maintain knowledge of current business trends and assist with identifying information, programs, and resources available to assist the Launcher entrepreneurs.
    • Ensure robust pool of advisors that have the capacity to serve target clients.
    • Create opportunities for sharing of best practices among advisors and instructors.
    • Oversee regular evaluation of all advisors.
    • Obtain regular feedback from advisors for program improvements.
    • Oversee implementation of post-graduation support and documentation.
    • Oversee a staff and contractual employees of approximately 15 full and part time positions.

    Manage relationships with Neighborhood partners

    • Oversee regular evaluation of existing partners.
    • Oversee regular convening of Launcher community partners.
    • Obtain regular feedback from partners for program improvements.

    Small Business Support

    • Event and Workshop Coordination - Oversee the planning and management of specialized trainings, workshops and mini courses.
    • Understand what opportunities and resources are of value to our community to promote on social media platforms.
    • Oversee the management of Launcher’s presence on social media, updating and organizing Facebook with event pictures and keeping watch of social media sites for news about program alumni.
    • Monitor and assist with managing social media accounts and website changes.
    • Drive connections and engagement with our Launcher students to leverage our online community to post questions and share resources.
    • Assist the team in implementing marketing and outreach to attract clients to apply to the program and volunteers.

    Reports To

    Executive Director of West End Neighborhood House

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Strong analytical skills with experience or willing to learn in data collection, reporting, and visualization.
    • Ability to lead a team of employees and contractors in both an in person and remote setting.
    • Understanding of entrepreneurship ecosystems and small business development.
    • Proficiency in Google software, data management systems and Canva is a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and with diverse teams.

    Preferred Experience

    • Bilingual English and Spanish are highly preferred.
    • Background in nonprofit program evaluation, data analysis, or business development.
    • Experience working with entrepreneurs or small business owners.
    • Familiarity with Delaware’s small business landscape and funding opportunities.
