    Description

    The Audience Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for managing audience engagement to support and enhance the overall experience of WBGO’s audiences. The ADM is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance audience engagement across all content platforms. This role relies upon seamless communication and flawless implementation to improve audience retention and satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Audience Engagement & Listener Support

    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance listener experience and engagement to

    expand audience reach.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for audience inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
    • Oversee listener communications, including email, phone, and social media interactions.

    Membership & Fundraising Support:

    • Collaborate with the development team to optimize fundraising campaigns and audience

    outreach.

    • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of audience engagement data.

    Social Media & Audience Engagement:

    • Manage social media platforms, ensuring consistent branding and audience interaction.
    • Develop campaigns to increase listener engagement and community participation.
    • Monitor analytics to optimize content performance and audience growth

    Streaming & Multimedia Production:

    • Oversee live streaming, on-demand audio, and video content production.
    • Collaborate with programming teams to enhance digital distribution of radio content.
    • Ensure accessibility and compliance with digital media standards.

    Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Track digital metrics to assess audience behavior and content effectiveness.
    • Generate reports on engagement trends and recommend improvements.
    • Utilize audience research to refine digital strategies.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in digital media, communications, or a related field (preferred).
    • Experience in digital content management, social media strategy, or multimedia production.
    • Strong leadership and project management skills.
    • Proficiency in content management systems, analytics tools, and digital marketing platforms.
    • Knowledge of public radio operations and audience engagement best practices.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and audience engagement tools.
    • A combination of job experience and education will be considered
