More about the Hands and Feet of Asheville experience:

Hands and Feet of Asheville is an independent non-profit organization established in 2012 creating transformative experiences for young adults in Western North Carolina at the intersection of faith, service, and justice.

You'll be matched with a local non-profit employer partner where you'll have a 32-hour/week professional experience, gaining valuable skills and experience while making vital change in our community. You'll also spend one day a week on personal, professional, and spiritual development, called "Community Days." The 2025-2026 service year will place a particular emphasis on service learning in the context of disaster relief. Community Days will draw on partner organizations and community members' lived experiences from Hurricane Helene and learning from disaster case studies so Fellows can build leadership tools to face the 1-5 year recovery stage together.

This transformative experience is designed to walk alongside you during a time of change and uncertainty, supporting your growth and evolution. Becoming a Hands and Feet Fellow requires a willingness to engage in compassionate social justice practice, challenging injustice and inequality at the human and environmental levels. You'll explore what it means to live a life of service while sustaining your spirit and committing to your own wellness. You'll develop meaningful relationships and become part of a community that will last beyond the program's end date.

This is a program of personal, professional, and spiritual growth rooted in social justice values; as such, we welcome young adults grounded in any faith tradition, including no faith tradition, to explore and discern your individual calling.
