    Description

    Opportunity:

    BVA’s seeks full-time Executive Director who will be responsible for all financial, operational, and administrative aspects of the daily organizational management of the agency, including but not limited to fundraising, public relations, financial management, organizational development, and staffing (e.g. contractors and volunteers). This leader will liaise with state, regional, and local organizations, and will coordinate the contributions of diverse groups of board members, donors, and allied organizations.

    Working under the authority granted by the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will define priorities, build on BVAs strategic vision, and fine-tune and implement its Strategic Priorities, ensuring the programmatic and fiscal accountability needed for sustainability and growth.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven track record of visionary leadership and strategic growth in the nonprofit, sector, with senior or executive leadership experience
    • At least 5 years of overall professional work experience with progressively increasing responsibility
    • Preference for nonprofit management experience, but public and corporate sector leaders with working knowledge of the nonprofit sector and/or volunteer leadership will be equally considered
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience
