    Position Summary:

    The Clinical Director provides daily oversight and administration of behavioral health services across the agency by supporting quality control, facilitating program and staff development, and assisting in the implementation and coordination of clinical services.

    Essential Functions:

    • Review and approve all written clinical documents such as progress notes, treatment plans, assessments and quarterly reports.
    • Evaluate the skills, experience, competencies and professional development needs of the clinical staff and oversee their performance.
    • Responsible for caseload assignments, monitoring productivity and holding clinicians accountable to productivity goals.
    • Provide training to increase clinician’s core competencies.
    • Provide supervision for ASW and AMFT BBS interns, trainees, and other program staff.
    • Willingness to become trained in a variety of clinical modalities and oversee supervision of specific clinical models and interventions.
    • Monitor and maximize performance of contracts; oversee reporting for all program contracts.
    • Ensure program services and activities comply with all governing regulations, professional/national standards and agency policy and procedures.
    • Participate in advocacy efforts at the local, state and national level.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Operations Officer to prepare for audits and develop correction plans as needed.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to develop funding proposals to expand and improve clinical services across the agency.
    • Develop and manage program budgets.
    • Cultivate relationships with county partners, community leaders and funders.

    Qualifications:

    • LCSW or LMFT in good standing with current BBS registration.
    • California Board of Behavioral Science approved supervisor.
    • Two years’ post-degree leadership experience in a behavioral health setting.
    • Experience working with children, youth, and their families.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
    • Obtain and maintain fingerprint, government and agency required background clearances, without additional exemptions.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screen.
    • Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance showing employee as an insured driver on the policy.
    • All employees will be required to familiarize themselves with a variety of written material that coincides with TLC Child and Family Services philosophic orientation toward youth and their treatment needs.

    Salary Range: $100,000 – $135,000 per year depending on years of experience. The salary range for this role may vary above and below the posted range, as determined by experience and licensure. Compensation takes into account several factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Posted wage ranges are reflective of a full-time/40 hour week position.
