The Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program (ORTOP) implements the full continuum of FIRST programs, a hands-on learning model with proven impact. These programs ignite an interest in science, technology, education and math and foster a sense of belonging and community that each student carries with them into adulthood. Since 2001, we have been delivering robotics programs to youth and inspiring students across Oregon.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to support the successful delivery and growth of FIRST programs in Oregon — focusing on FIRST LEGO League (FLL). Reporting to the Director of Programs & Operations, this role ensures teams, volunteers, and community partners have a high-quality, inclusive, and impactful experience.

Here are a few of the responsibilities:

    • Serve as a FIRST LEGO League Program Delivery Partner (PDP), completing required training and supporting program execution statewide.
    • Plan and deliver coach and volunteer training, delegate when appropriate, and ensure consistent, high-quality implementation with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
    • Support and coordinate tournaments and outreach events, including site logistics, inventory, volunteer coordination, and event setup/takedown.
    • Promote FIRST programs to schools, educational organizations, and STEM hubs with program growth in mind.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision and SIMPLE IRA. This position features a combination of remote, in-office and event work.
