    Position Profile

    The Director, Marketing Operations will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing cross-functional operations and providing operational leadership across all marketing and communications initiatives. Reporting directly to the CMO, this role will drive operational excellence, manage critical projects, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure the efficient and effective execution of marketing strategies.

    Primary Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

    • Oversee marketing operations including budget management, resource planning, and project tracking
    • Manage cross-functional initiatives and special projects that span multiple teams
    • Develop and maintain strategic planning frameworks and processes for the marketing function
    • Create and implement operational systems that address gaps and enhance department efficiency and effectiveness within the marketing function
    • Establish and optimize cross-functional workflows between marketing teams, other departments at Blue Meridian, and with external partners that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
    • Develop and implement strategic plans related to marketing that help Blue Meridian achieve its goals, analyzing the external environment, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment of activities.
    • Drive marketing resource allocation and capacity planning to meet organizational objectives
    • Manage vendor relationships related to marketing operations
    • Develop metrics and reporting frameworks to track marketing performance that can drive decision-making for CMO and visibility for senior leaders
    • Coordinate marketing technology platforms and tools across the department
    • Implement best practices for marketing project management and execution
    • Support integration of marketing efforts with other organizational functions
    • Act as a primary point of contact for other teams for escalating issues that involve the marketing function
    • Serve as a generalist problem-solver across the marketing function, providing support or leadership where needed

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Aligned with Blue Meridian's mission and core values
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or operations management
    • Strong operational skills with experience managing complex projects and processes
    • Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with budget management and resource allocation
    • Demonstrated ability to operationalize strategic priorities
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new software quickly
    • Willing to travel as needed

    Preferred

    • Experience working in philanthropy, nonprofits and/or strategy consulting desirable
    • Background in marketing operations or project management
    • Experience with process improvement methodologies
    • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques, especially Asana
    • MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

    Hiring Salary

    Blue Meridian Partners aims to provide a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package.

    The hiring salary for this position is $178,500. In addition to the base salary, each member of Blue Meridian is eligible to receive a performance-based variable incentive bonus.
