Position: Executive Assistant  

Upper Seven Law seeks an Executive Assistant to directly support the Executive Director and oversee administrative office responsibilities. This role reports to the Executive Director and collaborates closely with the leadership team.  

This is an entry level position.

Essential qualities include the ability to remain calm under pressure, think innovatively and strategically, work collaboratively with others, and give and receive feedback with grace. Candidates must also be highly organized and able to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously. 

The position is based in beautiful Helena, Montana. Well-known for its hiking and mountain biking trails, gorgeous Victorian architecture, and close community feel, the capital city is also the hub of Montana law and government.  

Responsibilities & Opportunities 

Executive assistance responsibilities:  

  • Act as a liaison between the Executive Director and outside organizations.  
  • Receive, screen, and prioritize inbound communications. 
  • Manage scheduling and travel logistics for the Executive Director. 
  • Travel with the Executive Director to events and speaking engagements, primarily in Montana. 

Administrative responsibilities:  

  • Support educational projects, including the Montana Constitution Roadshow.  
  • Assist with administrative training and onboarding of new hires, impact associates and interns. 
  • Serve as a resource to impact associates and interns. 
  • Assist with event planning. 
  • Act as rapporteur for internal meetings. 
  • Manage office cleaning schedule.  
  • Update and maintain data and records, particularly press contacts.

  • High level of professionalism and responsive, proactive communication style. 
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills. 
  • Superior attention to detail. 
  • Strong computer literacy. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for social justice and accountability.

Logistics 

Location: Helena, MT  

Compensation: $55,000 annually, plus health benefits.
