We operate a 13,000 square foot shared community workshop, located in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. We’re always expanding our capabilities, but here are some highlights:
Our shop is run almost entirely by volunteers and is available to members all day and all night, every day of the year.More than just providing access to tools and electricity, our workshop is a meeting place, where our nearly 500 members can collaborate on projects, share and learn new skills, and enjoy shared interests together.
The role of the Program Coordinator is to assist the Program and Operations Director (POD) and President with developing and implementing programs and the overall day-to-day operations of the organization. Primary responsibilities will include grant-writing and fundraising, marketing, communications, and program implementation. This position is currently temporary for 6 months, with the possibility of permanent hire dependent on revenue availability.
As of June 2025, Twin Cities Maker has a building at 3400 Cheatham Avenue under contract for purchase. This position will assist the President and Advancement Volunteers with building a funding package to complete this purchase by the end of the calendar year through grants, fundraising, and marketing. In addition to this, we are in the process of launching a lapidary shop, ceramics shop, and wool processing area. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the POD and shop managers to implement shop processes in these new areas. This position is considered temporary in its current form, as the core focus will be on these projects, but may have the opportunity to extend its term depending on revenue.

Pay: $25/hr
Hours: 20 hrs/wk (may fluctuate depending on events and needs)
Term: 6 months, with the possibility of extension dependent on revenue
