    Who We Are

At Rock Creek Foun dation, a subsidiary of The Sante Group, we believe that having a disability and/or a mental illness should not prevent anyone from having the opportunity to participate in everyday life. That’s why we have been pioneering the field of behavioral health services for the dually diagnosed. We want to ensure that each person we serve can develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible, in their own communities, and is able to realize his or her potential in ways that they could not do so before. Our committed staff of direct support professionals help drive our mission.

    Position Summary:

Rock Creek Foundation (RCF) is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Community Relations Coordinator to strengthen our presence in the community through strategic partnerships and on-the-ground engagement. This part-time role will manage our growing collaborations with community partners and work to identify additional opportunities that can expand access to essential goods, skills development, and job opportunities for those we serve.

The ideal candidate MUST SPEAK SPANISH, is highly organized, culturally responsive, and passionate about building trust and connection across diverse communities. They may have a background in community organizing, fundraising, marketing or public health outreach. This is a unique opportunity to shape how RCF shows up in the community—creatively, consistently, and meaningfully.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Lead existing community engagement efforts through a weekly cadence of partnership events, including:
      • Coordinating monthly educational or wellness-focused sessions
      • Representing RCF at twice-monthly food distributions
      • Preparing short post-event recaps to inform internal stakeholders
      • Serve as RCF’s primary liaison to key partners, ensuring clear communication, strong collaboration, and mutual benefit
      • Expand RCF’s network of community partners by researching, initiating, and nurturing relationships with local nonprofits, mutual aid groups, and businesses
      • Seek out opportunities that align with RCF’s mission, such as:
      • Job training and employment pathways for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs
      • Life skills programming (e.g., cooking, budgeting, or self-advocacy)
      • In-kind donations of food, clothing, toiletries, and household goods
      • Represent RCF at agreed upon outreach events and community forums to raise awareness and identify potential collaborations
      • Track partnership activity, lessons learned, and emerging community needs

    Qualifications:

      • Reliable transportation and ability to attend events across Montgomery County
      • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
      • Strong relationship-building, communication, and project management skills
      • Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to balance big-picture strategy and event-level details
      • Experience with community outreach, nonprofit programs, or public engagement
      • Comfort working across diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
      • Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to balance big-picture strategy and event-level details
      • Familiarity with disability services or behavioral health is a plus
