    Description

    Map Academy is seeking a dedicated Facilities Management Specialist to help ensure that our school environment is clean, safe, and fully operational. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a welcoming and productive learning environment for all students and staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the school building and grounds
    • Ensure the facility is safe and supports daily school operations
    • Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks
    • Support logistical needs for school events and programming
    • Respond to urgent building needs as they arise

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in facilities or building maintenance is required
    • School-based experience is preferred, but candidates from other settings (e.g., hospitals, shelters, residential facilities) are welcome
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to build positive relationships and work both independently and collaboratively
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Must pass CORI and fingerprint-supported background checks

    Schedule:

    • Regular school-day schedule
    • May include some early mornings, evenings, and work during school breaks based on building needs
