    Description

The World Rural Forum (WRF) is a plural network promoting Family Farming and Sustainable Rural Development. It supports political dialogue and advocates for inclusive public policies in favor of family farmers. Through strong alliances and international networks, the WRF enhances the visibility and impact of its partner organizations across the world.

The WRF is currently implementing the ACRE project (Strengthening the agency of civil society organizations (CSOs) in developing policy frameworks for equitable rural development and an enhanced contribution of family farmers towards the achievement of the SDGs), in collaboration with six other partners and members of the WRF; the Asian's Farmers Association (AFA); the Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (AsiaDHRRA); Confederación de Organizaciones de Productores Familiares del MERCOSUR (COPROFAM); INADES Formation; Plateforme Régionale d’Organisations Paysannes d’Afrique Centrale (PROPAC) and the Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON).

As part of its activities under the ACRE Project, funded by the EU, the WRF is seeking a consultant or consultancy firm to conduct a study on family farming policies. This study is one of the key actions planned for this year, aimed at deepening the understanding of family farming policies and strengthening the engagement of CSOs in policy processes at both national and global levels.

Purpose of the Study: to conduct a comprehensive analysis of ten domestic policies related to family farming, with a particular focus on the involvement of CSOs in their design and/or implementation. The findings will inform strategic, evidence-based recommendations to strengthen advocacy efforts, promote inclusive policymaking, and support the formulation of forward-looking rural development policies.
